Seiko Prospex First Japanese Diver’s Re-interpretation SPB239J1
This 2021 design is inspired by Japan’s first diving watch, created by Seiko back in 1965.
It is accompanied by Seiko's first ever original nylon strap for diver's watches, created in 2021 – the 'SEICHU,'' made in Japan with a traditional texture pattern following the intricate design of Kimono belts and a new resistant material specifically designed for diving flexibility and durability.
Prospex is a combination of the words 'Professional' and 'Specifications.'
Seiko Prospex timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable; to meet the high standards required in extreme environments for sports lovers and adventure seekers alike.
Since launching Japan’s first diver’s watch in 1965, Seiko’s innovative watchmaking has changed global dive watch standards.
Seiko began as a clock repair store in Tokyo in 1881 with a purpose to pursue watchmaking excellence and has grown into a global timekeeping presence. Renowned for horological innovation, Seiko timepieces deliver precisely beautiful Japanese aesthetics, brought to life through in-house manufacture.
