SEIKO Astron ‘Starfull Sky’ 3X GPS Solar Limited Edition

£1,980.00
SKU: 74-10-0052

Astron was created from Seiko’s passion for innovation, and now, under the theme of ‘Solidity,’ a series of solar timepieces have been created for the future of innovation.

The dial of this timepiece features a stamped star-shaped pattern – a process difficult to achieve on a dial with a solar cell. In a light blue colour, the dial aims to portray the glow of the stars in the night sky. Under a sapphire crystal glass, the hands and indices are coated with a layer of Lumibrite for legibility in the dark. The case has a modern polygonal case shape, made from lightweight titanium, with a super-hard coating.

This 3X62 calibre has solar GPS functionality, allowing for instantaneous and accurate changing of the time, no matter where you are in the world. Whereas with other solar watches, the dial is restricted by the need for maximum visibility of the solar cells and so decoration must be minimal, this movement is highly energy-efficient, allowing for colours and textures on the dial.

Seiko Astron: the world’s first GPS solar watch – powered by light, automatically adjusted to your exact time through the latest satellite technology.
