A collection celebrating our founder's connection with ancient Egypt
When Tutankhamun's tomb was discovered in the Valley of The Kings in 1922, James R Ogden worked with Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon, restoring and valuing various ancient gold objects found in the tomb, that now contribute to treasured collections in museums across Europe and America.
James was also close to Leonard and Katharine Woolley and became Advising Goldsmith to the British Museum. The discovery of Tutankhamun's treasures led to a great Egyptian revival during the Art Deco period, and many of its motifs can be seen in Art Deco jewellery! This collection celebrates all of that...
A unique Ogden of Harrogate Lotus Collection pendant made in 18ct yellow gold and green and blue enamel formed of three lotus shapes, to a gold trace chain.
